If we could put together a dream list of elements that would be amazing to photograph together...Alicia and John's wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill would be it. Between the perfect weather, talented vendors, stunning location, rolling rural landscapes, historic little town, easy going and fun loving wedding party, gracious wedding guests and family and incredible couple - it was easy to capture this beautiful beautiful day. Alicia and John had an amazing wedding day in Groton earlier this summer and we were honored to be behind the camera to document it all. Alicia and her ladies got ready at the Lyttleton Inn which was the perfect start to the day with it's breezy porch and creaky wood floors. John and his guys kept cool in the AC as they got ready and tried on their new hats gifted to the groomsmen from John with their respective teams on them. They waited to see one another until the ceremony which was exactly right for them with the absolutely stunning "top of the hill" ceremony location at Gibbet which is the ruins of an old castle that mother nature has taken into her own hands. Easily one of the most beautiful wedding ceremony locations we've ever photographed! The look on John's face when he saw Alicia for the first time will be burned into my mind for a long time. The joy they wore on their faces was unforgettable. The party continued down the hill at The Barn with grace and style (and did we mention amazing food?). We loved everything about this wedding and were so happy to be a part of it. Congratulations Alicia and John!
