What a lovely Wedding Weekend Emily and Whit hosted in Vermont! With family roots in Vermont, Emily and Whit wanted a laid back and beautiful destination wedding in New England. When they found the Basin Harbor Club they knew they had found their space. What seems to be one of the oldest resorts in the country, it’s clear why the Basin Harbor Club has thrived for so many years. Nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks on Lake Champlain, the space was filled with fresh pine air and a view from every part of the property. They hosted a lovely weekend of relaxing events where their guests could relax and enjoy each others company. Emily and her ladies got ready in their own cabin while Whit and his guys got ready down the road in their own. We loved witnessing their intimate and heart felt first look before the ceremony and loved their adventurous spirit even more as we made our way into some fairly dirty trails and wetlands to get some portraits of them in the best light the venue had to offer. Their ceremony overlooked the harbor which was so peaceful to watch kayakers roll in and out before the ceremony. There was a lot of laughter and happy tears during their ceremony which always gives me goosebumps that I have to overlook to stay focused on the task at hand. The party continued down by the lake in a gloriously decorated tent with lush florals by Village Green Florist and fabulous entertainment from Speechless.
