What a gift it was to photograph this wedding. Jacqueline and Dana are two of the most grounded, thoughtful, loving and compassionate people we’ve met. It comes as no surprise that all of their life choices are rooted in the same intention and place of purpose, so when it came time to plan their wedding they were sure of what they wanted. They wanted an intimate gathering of their inner circles to celebrate, cry happy tears, mourn who was missing and just plain enjoy each other. They wanted a weekend where their families could relax and mingle in a place that was special to both of them. The Lewis and Clark lake in Yankton, SD happens to be a very special place to us, too. Kendra grew up here, and the quiet sunsets and sounds of cicadas buzzing is deeply familiar and comforting to us. When Jackie and Dana asked us to be a part of their wedding it was a resounding YES!
