2023! What joy you brought us. Every day we showed up for work we left a little lighter, we left with more gratitude and love. I mean, just look at all the love circling in the photos above. How did we get so lucky to call this our job? Working with love is about as big of a blessing as we could ask for.
It’s hard to believe that we’re wrapping up year 13 as full time photographers. We’ve learned so much throughout the years, and each and every year of business continues to surprise and delight us with new lessons, challenges and adventures. This year we had the honor of documenting over 250 families in 5 states, a dozen weddings in venues grand and humble and launched a new arm of our business, Best Light Photo Co. We got to travel to some of our favorite corners of New England as well as the quietest parks of our cozy St Paul neighborhood. We were honored to witness the “yes’s”, the “I dos and I wills”, the “doesn’t she have her dad’s nose?”, the “please be careful on that swing", and the “we’ve been married for 52 years.” We love to ask questions when we’re working because we always learn new things and see the onion layers peel back on your life story. And once we can do that, well…you can see what happens.
Thank you for trusting us to document what is more dear to your hearts this year. We don’t take it lightly and we can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store.
