We love us a good Engagement Session. Put two gorgeous people in a stunning Boston backdrop and we're all set. I had the pleasure of photographing Christina and Gabe in their neighborhood of The North End back in June, which in wedding season feels like years ago. Their kindness, genuine spirits and laid back approachability made such an impact on me that I'm dreaming of zipping over to join them for Oysters after work today (meet you guys at Neptune at 5? :)). They will be tying the knot next year in Christina's home state of Michigan, and we're sure that whoever will get to photograph their wedding will be one lucky photographer. We love these glimpses of their life here in Boston and were honored to capture this special time in their lives. Congrats, Christina and Gabe!
Nikki + George = Engaged
We may be biased, but we think one of the best souvenirs one can have when they go on a trip is photo evidence. Every tourist remembers to bring their camera, but what about if you want to be IN the photos? Nikki and George had the forethought to do just that. Head over heels for one another and recently Engaged, these two love birds from the South called us up during their recent trip to Boston for some unforgettable photos in the beautiful city of Boston. Chuck was there to capture it all on camera and we are totally in love with the photos. Beacon Hill, The Public Gardens AND Fenway? Yes please. We especially love the playful shots around Fenway, even though Nikki is rooting for her own team (we'll forgive you, Nikki). Congratulations Nikki and George!
Elizabeth + Oliver = Engaged
We loved getting Elizabeth and Oliver in front of the camera a few weeks back for their Engagement Session highlighting some of Boston's prettiest backdrops. It's always a pleasure when our clients become friends, and when folks decide to splurge on an Engagement Session we view it not only as a time for us to work with them before their wedding but also as a chance to get to know the couple a little better too. We've had such a great time working with Elizabeth and Oliver and their Engagement Session confirmed all our previous notions of their solid personalities. Oliver is the kind of guy that could talk to anyone and will always put Elizabeth's wishes before his own. (You know, the kind of guy that romantic comedy heroes are made of). Elizabeth is gracious, kind and oh so beautiful. We can't wait for their Farm wedding on the cape in a few short weeks, it's bound to be lovely! Keep an eye out for some serious eye candy once their wedding hits the blog! We can't wait.
Emily + Adam = Engaged
There is nothing sweeter than a quaint New England town and two sweethearts about to wed. We met up with Emily and Adam in Sunapee, New Hampshire back in June to spend an afternoon on Mount Sunapee and to stroll the sleepy resort town which was filled with lake enthusiasts. After a peaceful ride up the chair lift these two took center stage on the stunning vistas of New Hampshire (don't you just love New England?). We think we should talk to the New Hampshire state tourism board and use Emily and Adam as models for their great state! After coming down the mountain we went into town where we found a quiet marina, covered bridge, general store and other sweet highlights that served as a great backdrop for Emily and Adam's session. These two are about as down to earth and warm as two people get, and we feel darn lucky to have them as our clients! We can't wait to be a part of your big day, Emily and Adam!
Sarah + Matt = Engaged
Sarah and Matt are so wonderful. Grounded, charismatic, loyal and fun-loving, these two are a joy to be around. (Our) Matt accompanied them on a mini adventure around Sarah's parents home in Gloucester Mass where they basked in the sunshine and enjoyed the salt marshes and ocean. Sometimes we feel like we get to accompany our clients on some pretty romantic outings, so we're always grateful for their open hearts to share a date with us (long walks on the beach? check!). We can't wait for their wedding in just a few weeks at the Misselwood Estate. It's going to be such a great day!
Cerridwen + Nic = Engaged
These two are pretty spectacular. Creative, genuine, intentional and charismatic. Oh, and good looking (but we didn't have to tell you that). We have loved getting to know Cerridwen and Nic. Matt spent some time exploring some of Boston's prettiest nooks and crannies with them during their Engagement Session a few weeks back. We always love shooting at the Boston Public Library (the Courtyard always seems to have perfect light) and we think that Nic's fedora transports these images back to a bygone era. We can't wait to capture their backyard wedding on MidCoast Maine later this year (you won't want to miss that one) which will surely be a sensational day. Thanks for sharing this exciting time with us, guys!
Erica + Tim = Engaged
Oh we have big hearts for these two. We first met Erica and Tim at Erica's sister's wedding back in 2012 (remember Heather and Steven?). As it turns out, big loving hearts run in their family. From the moment I met Erica, she gave me a big hug and insisted that she "was a huger" and that a handshake simply wouldn't do. We later met her gentle and loyal other half, Tim at the wedding. We've stayed in touch with them throughout the years and were thrilled to hear of their Engagement. When they asked us to photograph their big day, we were elated to have the opportunity and we have enjoyed working with them throughout their engagement so far. Matt captured the two of them with their sweet dog Jax at one of our favorite farms in the Boston area late in May and we're so excited about these images. It goes to show that with the right setting, sunset light and an adorable trio like Tim, Erica and Jax, that you can't really go wrong. We can't wait for their October wedding in Rhode Island that will fall on the 10 year anniversary of Matt and my couple-ship. It's going to be such a spectacular day!
Cassandra + Dave = Engaged
Ok, we need to just take a time out for a second. If you guys are anything like us, you are swooning over all of the adorable in this blog post. First you have the beautiful setting: Plymouth, Mass illuminated by a perfectly overcast sky, then you have flawless Cassandra and Dave, all tied together neatly with Chuck's creative eye and we have ourselves a grand slam. I mean seriously. We are a little obsessed with everything about this session. In addition to*looking* good Cassie and Dave also have hearts of gold. We love the way Dave gets lost while looking at Cassie, and it's so sweet to see how Cassie giggles in his presence. Chuck will be shooting their wedding later this year at the Ocean Edge Resort, and if these photos are any indication of how things will go then, we can't wait to share more stunning images after their wedding!
Deb + Tyler = Engaged
The world is a better place when you have duos like Deb and Tyler. Creative, talented, funny and so genuine, these two are the real deal. Deb and Tyler are both well respected Actors in the Twin Cities, and we actually had the privilege of seeing them perform well before they became clients of ours. Even then, we were drawn to their humble approachability and kindness. We've sense gotten to know them a little better and can attest to the great people they are. Our new Midwest Associate shooter Abby will be photographing their wedding later in August, so before the big day the three of them set out to capture some Engagement Photos at a beautiful park in Eagan. We are thrilled with the results and can't wait to share more of their big day in just a few weeks!
Amanda + Jaco = Engaged
Chuck spent a morning photographing Amanda and Jaco in one of our favorite places, Concord, Massachusetts a few weeks back on a delightfully spring morning. They met up near the Old Manse, which was old stomping grounds for Amanda from her days as a tour guide there. While Amanda hails from the Western Suburbs of Boston, Jaco is originally from South Africa and the two of them now call Illinois home. They will be getting married at perhaps our most favorite venue on earth (where we got married, in fact) in just a few short weeks but before the wedding we had to get them in front of the camera. We love the way Jaco looks at Amanda, and how it's clear that Amanda feels right at home in his arms. We can't wait to shoot their wedding at the Codman Estate later this month but for now we're savoring their sweet e-session with Chuck!
